PALM SUNDAY (PASSION SUNDAY)

On Palm Sunday Christians celebrates the triumphal entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem.Also known as "Passion Sunday" which concludes on Easter Sunday.Palm Sunday is the start of Holy Week from Jesus Christ followers.The Bible reveals that when Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem, He was greeted by chants and waves from the people who welcome Him in the city.Using palm leaves waving and covering his path with palm branches.
They greeted Jesus as the Spiritual Messiah who would take away the sins of the world but as a potential Political Leader who would overthrow the Romans.Their shout "Hosanna" meant save now.Palm branches symbolizes Goodness and Victory.
His entry to Jerusalem is the beginning of His passion.This Sunday is meant to prepare us for the celebration of the Paschal Mystery of Christ – His passion, death, and resurrection which will begin on Holy Thursday and will end on Easter Sunday.
