Movies

Based on the novel by A. J.  Quinnell, directed by Tony Scott. The scene  set in Mexico.

A wave of kidnappings has swept through the city of Mexico,  feeding a growing sense of panic among its wealthier citizens especially parents. In a six day period there were 24 abductions leading many to hire bodyguards for their children. Into this world enters John Creasy a burnt-out government operative/assassin who has given up life.A friend brings him to Mexico City and reluctantly agrees to take a job to be a bodyguard to a 9 year old girl named Pita , daughter to a wealthy industrialist Samuel Ramos.
Not interested in being a bodyguard especially to a youngster but lack of some things to do better , he accepts the assignment. He eventually became close to the child and their relationship reawakens and rekindles his spirit.

Creasy's new found purpose in life is shattered when Pita was abducted. His fiery rage is unleashed on those he feels responsible and he stops at nothing to saved her."
"Quote from the movie"
When his friend was interviewed by Mexican police asking the kind of person Creasy is.
A man can be an artist in anything, food or whatever. It depends on how good he is at it.Creasy's art is death and he is about to paint his masterpiece.
She shows him it was alright to live again, but the kidnappers took that away through Pita. And now they gonna wish they never touched a hair of her head.
In the Church they taught us to forgive but to Creasy, forgiveness is between them and God and his job is to arrange a meeting.

I watched George of the Jungle again today, and after all these years it still hasn't lost its touch. I still laughed so much...the narrator was just so funny--the whole cast was...and Brendan Fraser was hilarious as always. If you haven't seen it yet, I suggest you go watch it... It's like a parody of Tarzan- with the talking apes and more... :] :]

The Hurt Locker is a timely and award-winning movie about the life of U.S. soldiers while on duty in Iraq- specifically the bomb technicians who diffuse bombs so soldiers can easily pass through without getting hurt... It's quite long movie but I enjoyed it. It was a movie about human sacrifice, life and death, survival and uncertainty. You never know when you're going to die and you can never tell when your duty will end. You can't afford to let your guard down because anytime the terrorists might attack or kidnap you. This movie has taught me some things about life and work...But this movie isn't for everyone though...

cop

Cop Out is obviously a film about cops...Jimmy and Paul has been partners for 9 years already- and now Jimmy's daughter is getting married and he needs money. Unfortunately, he got suspended without pay because of Paul's negligence. So he decides to sell his 'antique' baseball card that costs thousands of dollars. While in the store a burglar came in and he used his stun gun on Jimmy- he got paralyzed and the burglar left with his card. The card was then sold to a gangster (drug lord) who collects memorabilia. He asked paul to help him get his card back. After many twists and turns, people got shot; but in the end..the bad guys were killed and the card was found- unfortunately Paul accidentally put a bullet in the card. So, the new husband of Jimmy's wife paid for her daughter's wedding. But Jimmy was still the one who gave her daughter away...
All in all, it was a pretty funny movie. It's worth watching. It is shows a parent's love for their child and a cop's loyalty to his partner.

quotes:
Paul: Why did you smack me?
Jimmy: I was in the moment and the moment said smack ya.

How It Should Have Ended
I just wanted to share these movie parodies to all of you- they are quite funny, i saw them on youtube-nothing belongs to me -everything belongs to HISHEdotcom [a channel in youtube] . I hope you enjoy it and check out the other vids.

It looks like the one that wants to do the wanting suddenly wants to do be wanted by a different wanting, that has a want of wanting that has never been wanted for the sake of wantness.

Daybreakers It's the year 2019 and less than 5% of the population is human. The vampires are starving and already in rampage. Some of them are mutating since they feed from other vampires...A group of humans ask Edward- a vampire hematologist, to help them find recreate the cure that they found before the humans go extinct. But many will stop them because they don't want a cure- they want blood substitutes instead.
This was a fun movie to watch- a different kind of vampire movie- it as depth. It is action-packed, too. This movie tells us that vampires would never survive since the sun will kill them-the world was made for humans. I think vampirism also symbolizes the wickedness of people today; only a few good men are left. But it's never too late to change for the better.
quotes:
---That last breath of humanity will vanish as soon as the blood does.
---Humans were offered a chance to assimilate; they refused …
---Immortality is the miracle, we are blessed.

Ichi is a blind woman[goze] in search of her father. Life has been cruel to her that's why she fears of being close to anyone and fights people off. As she continues searching, she meets people who truly care about her-maybe love, and in the end she begins to trust people again. But the town she is currently staying in is terrorized by the Banki- a yakuza clan and to help the people her friend Touma decides to fight. All ends well even though it is quite a tragedy. this movie may not be great but it does teach some morals in life. The main characters fear something- the movie teaches us to overcome our fears, that there is nothing to be feared of and that we should live on because life is beautiful...

The Book of Eli The movie takes place in the future- the world suffered great destruction due to war; people have lived savagely since then- they fought and killed for shoes, water- the most basic things..or just for fun... The plot focuses on Eli who has a book [King James Bible]- he claims that a voice, a higher power guided him to it and told him to bring it to the west. On his journey, he met Solara who accompanied him until the end. But Carnegie, a tyrant, was also in search of that book and has sacrificed a lot of lives for it. He is determined to get it because he believes that it is very powerful-he got it in the end. But Eli and Solara still continued to the west- to Alcatraz, where a museum of books was found "to teach the people about the world they lost". There was no need of the book since Eli memorized everything in it. Lombardi, the caretaker of the museum, wrote every single word Eli had said and printed a new copy of the Bible and put it in the shelf of books- along with Torah,Qur'an and Shakespeare...And Solara went to journey back to her home.[bringing Eli's iPod]
The movie was about faith, a man's faith in a voice and his determination to do what he was told- he protected the book with his life. It also spoke about friendship which he found in a young girl, and hope that even in the most difficult times- there was hope for a better future... This movie is for all people- it is timely and inspirational. It reminds men to go back to God and strengthen our faith in Him...
quotes >People had more than what they needed. They didn't know what was precious. We throw away things and people kill each other.

>Dear Lord, Thank you for giving me the strength and the conviction to complete the task you entrusted to me. Thank you for guiding me straight and true through the many obstacles in my path. And for keeping me resolute when all around seemed lost. Thank you for your protection and your many signs along the way. Thank you for any good that I may have done, I'm so sorry about the bad. Thank you for the friend I made. Please watch over her as you watched over me. Thank you for finally allowing me to rest. I'm so very tired, but I go now to my rest at peace. I fought the good fight, I finished the race, I kept the faith. >faith means that you know something even if you don't know something

Kill Bill I think most of you already know the story of Kill Bill- it's mainly a story of revenge with a lot of action and blood. I was surprised that I really enjoyed it- I even watched vol. 1 and 2 on the same day; I couldn't wait to what would happen to Kiddo[bride]. It was quite tragic, although those assassins deserved to die- it's always sad to see anyone die. I quite admire Kiddo since she had such determination to live and get revenge- even though she was beaten badly and took a bullet to her head her heart still beats [which I think is impossible in real life]. Although some people think this movie is shallow or worse, I think it is a superb movie- not just killing or eating people like other gory movies, it has depth and reason and also has flashbacks to help us understand the characters and how they came to be.I also like the awesome and weird soundtracks. And I also like the director of his movies, although I wasn't as impressed on his other movies like From Dusk Til Dawn[yeah, the title of my site], Planet Terror and Death Proof I really loved this movie. I suggest you see this movie if you like action and blood and a bit drama or comedy...
---Revenge is a dish best served cold.
