Danica Flores Magpantay a 17 year old Filipina was announced the winner of the prestigious title, "Supermodel of the World" in New York last Saturday.An international modeling contest established by Eileen Ford in 1980.Danica was followed by representatives from Lithuania, Poland and Estonia.
With the victory Magpantay received a $250,000 modeling contract with Ford models.She is the daughter of the supermodel of the world
Philippines 1990 winner Milagros "Lala" Flores.Danica's two runners up receives contracts of $150,000 and $100,000 respectively.
According to the website Ford Models, Supermodel of the World is the largest and the most prestigious international modeling competition. The contest showcases young fashion model entrants from over 50 countries in order to discover new talents for the fashion industry.
We, Filipinos are definitely proud and happy for Danica... :D :D
